A review is an evaluation of a publication, such as a film, video game, musical composition, book, or a piece of hardware like a car, home appliance, or computer. In addition to a critical statement, the review’s author may assign the work a rating to indicate its relative merit. More loosely, an author may review current events or items in the news. In scientific literature the literature review is a category of scientific paper, which provides a synthesis of research on a topic at that moment in time. An essay is a piece of writing, usually from an author's personal point of view. Essays are non-fictional but often subjective; while expository, they can also include narrative. An argument is a discussion of a topic that is very important to the person who takes part in conversation. The second part of an argument is opposition. This means understanding both sides of the problem. A person should compare both sides and give evidence as to the side the writer takes. An argumentative essay usually begins with the description of ideas of a person. The next stage is analysing the literature about the problem. And the last step is to show how the person’s assertion is better than the other side. A discursive essay is an informal essay about a controversial topic.
